Hi, I am using Lenovo T61 laptop on windows XP.A week back I suddenly got a message 'your audio configuration has been changed.Reinstall SoundMax'.I noticed an yellow exclamation mark for 'SoundMax Integrated digital HD Audio' when I checked in device manager.I went to the site you have mentioned and installed UAA high definition and audio driver for soundmax.Now I see everything is working fine status in device manager.But still there is no sound. I have already checked that nothing related to sound is in mute state.But still I m facing the same issue. Based on some other information from Lenovo pages,I ran the system update and installed the recommended updates as well.Still the problem is there. There is no sound when I play mp3,youtube.Also there is no sound when I start up or log off the laptop.
Aug 05, 2015 I've upgraded my laptop to Windows 10, and it no longer produces sound. Both speaker and headphones are not working. I've run the audio troubleshooter, update driver for sound card and run the Lenovo companion app, but found no problems. The Microsoft sound card driver that is installed during Windows 7 installation does NOT support the microphone. The microphone is needed to create voice-over MS Powerpoint presentations (using Adobe Presenter Add-on).
Please suggest how to resolve this problem.
